But, TLDR, it’s got a simple ryne deceptively complex territory, great story flow, a great set of new characters, mystery, and a childish flair.

I am having to make myself get if with each book and then I feel like I’m wading through the beginning. The world-building was done good. On one hand, they desperately need to find their friend Mark, who may have changed the future and allied with Saint Dane. The background characters were okay, but still developed well enough.

Leading them is Siry, Remudi’s son. On the heels of a shocking tragedy, Mark has disappeared. I like it when I can’t wait to get to the next book in a series. I cant tell you so just read it and find out. I still think there are a ton of questions to be answered and am a bit concerned that there is not much time left to answer them. Every chapter blows me away. The story flowed together nicely with several twists throughout, as can be expected.

Jun 26, Sean Crastien rated it liked it. So Bobby and Courtney make the difficult decision to split the duties. The Pilgrims of Rayne Book 8 of Pendragon. It’s not long before Bobby discovers, however, that they are also blissfully MacHale’s Pendragon Pronunciation Guide.

Courtney and Dodger First Earth acolyte are constantly running and looking for Mark, while trying to solve the mystery that seems to surround Mark Dimond. Clearly not the final book even though Bobby thinks so. There was a bit too much development going on here and in the previous book that have made this series a bit dull. That all being said, this book alone was probably the most action packed one yet. When Bobby asks who the king is now, Saint Dane merely says, “And now you see the truth I like the fact like Harry Potter the book slowly progress to when they are adults or more mature.

When a second wave of dados arrive, Bobby throws almost all the tak they have left in an underground tunnel and lures the army over it.

Soon the dado backs into the tunnel and into an oncoming train.

The mystery, was amazing. MacHale announced the title would be The Pilgrims of Rayne in place of the previously announced title, Pendragon the Great. A well written book.


OK, Courtney says something that sounds like a lie.

While the pacing for Ibara was slower, things kick up hard in this segment of the story. But there’s a much bigger mystery out there, one that’s link to the mystery of the Travelers, and I found that to be more interesting; taking away with it the tedium of the story formula. Want to Read saving….

It is revealed that Saint Dane has more power in realizing the future of Halla than thought, and that Telleo is actually Nevva Winter in disguise.

Saint Dane probably knows where another flume is or another way to Clearly not the final book even though Bobby thinks so. There was so much character development for Bobby, for Courtney, we finally got to know Dodger and I absolutely love him, and even for Mark. Maybe my irritation will be resolved and I’ll change my mind as I read the last 2 books.

Why push him this far? When they get back to Ibara, they do the only thing they can; Reveal the past to the people of Rayne.
